Dr. Brugarolas leads a pioneering research team focused on the development of innovative small molecule PET radioligands for neurological diseases and immunoPET imaging at Massachusetts General Hospital and Havard Medical School. Dr. Brugarolas and his team are dedicated to advancing imaging techniques for demyelinating diseases by developing PET tracers targeting potassium channels in the brain. This research aims to provide new insights and diagnostic tools for conditions such as multiple sclerosis. Dr. Brugarolas’s work is characterized by a deep commitment to translational research, bridging the gap between scientific discovery and clinical application. His innovative approaches in PET imaging are poised to make significant impacts on the diagnosis and management of neurological diseases, improving patient outcomes and advancing the field of medical imaging. Dr. Brugarolas earned his PhD in Chemistry at the University of Chicago.
